Abstract

The provisions of Article 4 of Law Number 23 of 2002 states that every child has the right to live, grow, develop and participate fairly in accordance with human dignity and protection from violence and discrimination. Problem formulation: (1) What is the policy form of the Padang City Government in providing special protection for children who are victims of sexual violence in 2021? (2) What are the obstacles faced by the Padang City Government in implementing the policy of providing special protection for children victims of sexual violence in 2021. (3) What are the efforts made by the Padang City Government to overcome the obstacles faced in providing special protection for children victims of violence? sexual relations in 2021. The research method used is sociological legal research. The results of the study (1) The Padang City Government's policy in providing special protection for child victims of sexual violence is contained in regional legal products in the form of regional regulations and mayoral regulations; (2) problems in the form of insufficient budget become an obstacle in implementing policies in providing special protection to child victims of sexual violence; (3) Efforts made by the City Government to face obstacles in implementing special protection policies for children victims of sexual violence are carried out through the strategies contained in the Padang City P3AP2KB Strategic Plan and forming child protection volunteers in 104 sub-districts as an effort to detect violence against children.
