Abstract

ABSTRACT The problems regarding housing discussed by consumers are related to promises made by the developer but not implemented according to the agreement. Problem Formulation: 1. What is the settlement in the event of a cancellation of the Sale and Purchase Agreement (PPJB) carried out unilaterally between the Developer or Consumer at Alam Bakuang Housing, Padang City? 2. What is the responsibility of the Developer towards consumers in the Alam Bakuang housing in Padang City for the occurrence of a binding sale and purchase agreement (PPJB) for a house? This type of sociological juridical research, the data sources used are primary and secondary data, with interview data collection techniques and document studies which were analyzed qualitatively. Research results: 1. Settlement in the event of cancellation, for the first time it will be resolved by deliberation and consensus, if deliberation and consensus are not reached then the parties then agree to take legal action. 2. The responsibility of the Developer towards consumers is in accordance with the contents of the Sale and Purchase Agreement which was previously agreed upon by both parties.
