Abstract

ABSTRAK Technological developments are moving very fast and rapidly in the current era of globalization. Technology will develop along with the development of human needs. Internet technology has brought the economy into a new phase which is more popular with the term digital economy or digital economy. One of them is business transactions via the internet which are usually referred to as Electronic Transactions or E-commerce. E-commerce is defined as business activities involving consumers, manufacturers, service providers and intermediary traders using computer networks, namely the internet, one of which is Shopee e-commerce. Problem Formulation 1) What are the consequences of unilateral cancellation of Cash On Delivery (COD) transactions at Shoppe? 2) What is the settlement of unilateral cancellations in online transactions by Cash On Delivery (COD) at Shopee? Types of sociological juridical research. Source of data is done by interviews and document search. Data were analyzed by qualitative way. The conclusions of the research results: 1) As a result of unilateral cancellations in transactions using cash on delivery payments caused by irresponsible buyers, unilateral cancellations are often found, which result in losses for the seller, the buyer should pay for the intended order. 2) One-sided cancellation made by a customer in a cash on delivery transaction is an act of default. If the goods sent do not match, there is damage, the buyer has the right to return the goods to the seller on condition that the buyer must video the goods and send them to the seller, and the seller is obliged to compensate or replace the buyer because the goods sent are not suitable.
