AKUNTABILITAS DAN KETERBUKAAN GUBERNUR PROVINSI SUMATERA BARAT DALAM MEWUJUDKAN PEMERINTAHAN YANG BAIK (GOOD GOVERNANCE)

Abstract

One of the obligations of the Regional Government in submitting reports is to present information on Regional Government Implementation Reports to the public. However, the author sees that the transparency carried out by the West Sumatra provincial government has not been maximized, even though there is an official page on the internet that can be accessed by the public regarding regulatory products. The aims of the study were 1) to analyze the influence of accountability and transparency of regional heads in realizing good governance in West Sumatra Province, 2) to analyze the constraints faced by the regional government of the West Sumatra Provision in realizing good governance, 3) to analyze the efforts of the regional government of West Sumatra Provision in overcoming obstacles to realize good governance. This type of research is a sociological juridical approach and is descriptive in nature. The types of data are primary and secondary. Data collection techniques are documentation and interview techniques. The results of this study are that the regional governor of West Sumatra Province has implemented the principles of accountability and transparency based on a good governance assessment. The regional head governor of West Sumatra Province has obstacles in realizing good governance, convoluted bureaucracy, road congestion, uneven development, and social inequality. The regional governor of West Sumatra Province has made various efforts to realize good governance, including bureaucratic reform, preventing road congestion, equitable development, and anticipating social inequality. The conclusion of this study is that the regional governor of West Sumatra Province has implemented good governance well.
