PELAKSANAAN PENGAWASAN PEREDARAN KOSMETIK BERBAHAYA OLEH BALAI BESAR PENGAWAS OBAT DAN MAKANAN (BBPOM) DI KOTA PADANG

Abstract

ABSTRACT The implementation of BPOM's role in monitoring the distribution of dangerous cosmetics is regulated in BPOM Regulation Number 12 of 2023. In a number of Regencies and Cities in West Sumatra, BBPOM Padang confiscated as many as 1,544 pieces of illegal cosmetics from various brands which were the result of market issuances carried out on 26-28 July 2022. . This research is a sociological juridical research or field research. The data used are primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques in this study were obtained through document studies and interviews. Data were analyzed qualitatively. The results of the study show (1) The form of supervision carried out by BBPOM Padang is pre-market and post-market supervision. (2) Factors causing the circulation of dangerous cosmetics in the city of Padang are consumers who want to get cheap prices and fast effects on the skin, factors that influence floating advertisements, factors of public ignorance of genuine distribution permits and counterfeit distribution permits.
