Abstract

ABSTRACT The rapid development of technology and information has brought progress to human life, one of which is the economy, namely the emergence of transaction activities through the internet. This study examines electronic transactions regulated in Law No. 19 of 2016, with the identification of problems: (1) What is the mechanism for electronic transactions on Lazada? (2) What is the cause of consumer losses in electronic transactions on Lazada? (3) What is the responsibility of business actors for consumer losses in electronic transactions on Lazada? This study used sociological juridical research. The data collected is in the form of primary data and secondary data. Then it is analyzed by qualitative methods. The results showed that: (1) The mechanism in the first electronic buying and selling transaction, looking at the products or services offered by the company through its website. Second, looking for the data needed in connection with the electronic transaction process carried out. (2) The impact of losses to consumers caused by electronic transactions, namely economics, time, and psychology. (3) The responsibility of business actors for losses suffered by consumers in electronic transactions in the form of providing compensation for damage and pollution.
