Abstract

The Social Office of Pariaman City has the main task of carrying out some mandatory and some elective matters under the authority of the Regional Government, namely in the field of Rehabilitation and Protection of Social Security and the Field of Social Empowerment and Handling of the Poor. Problem formulation: 1) What is the role of the Pariaman City Social Office in the Implementation of Social Welfare based on the Regional Regulation of Pariaman City Number 4 of 2022 concerning the Implementation of Social Welfare 2) What are the obstacles faced by the Pariaman City Social Office in the Implementation of Social Welfare based on the Regional Regulation of Pariaman City Number 4 of 2022 concerning the Implementation of Social Welfare 3) What are the efforts made by the City Social Office Pariaman overcomes the obstacles found in the Implementation of Social Welfare based on the Regional Regulation of Pariaman City Number 4 of 2022 concerning the Implementation of Social Welfare. This research uses sociological juridical methods. The data sources used are primary data sources and secondary data sources obtained through document studies and interviews. Data collection techniques obtained by means of document studies and interviews are then analyzed using qualitative analysis. The results of the research are: 1) The role of the Pariaman City Social Office is to allocate budgets and plan programs for the implementation of Pariaman City Regional Regulation Number 4 of 2022 concerning the Implementation of Social Welfare and implement programs related to Pariaman City Regional Regulation Number 4 of 2022 concerning the Implementation of Social Welfare. 2) The obstacles faced by the Social Service are that there is no Pariaman Mayor Regulation that regulates the technicalities of Social Welfare Implementation, limited budget, lack of socialization. 3) Efforts made by the Social Office in overcoming obstacles are to encourage the Pariaman City Government to issue a Mayor Regulation that regulates the technical implementation of Social Welfare, cooperate with third parties, and intensively disseminate it both internally and externally.
