Abstract

Article 85 of the Child Criminal Justice System Act mandates placing criminal-involved children in a Special Child Rehabilitation Institution (LPKA). Rehabilitation, guidance, and supervision of minors must be within the Special Child Institution. 45% of LPKA Class IIB Tanjung Pati inmates engage in morality offenses, warranting attention. The problem: (1) How does LPKA Class IIB Tanjung Pati implement character rehabilitation for minors? (2) What challenges do LPKA Class IIB Tanjung Pati staff face? Data collection via observation, interviews, and documentation. Qualitative analysis depicts field data. Conclusion: (1) LPKA Class IIB Tanjung Pati employs diverse methods like spiritual, intellectual, physical, and vocational rehabilitation for moral offenders. (2) LPKA Class IIB Tanjung Pati staff confront challenges; foremost is lacking educators for juvenile rehabilitation.
