PERAN KEPOLISIAN RESORT AGAM DALAM MENANGGULANGI TINDAK PIDANA ILLEGAL LOGGING

Illegal logging has often occurred in Indonesia, this illegal logging activity not only damages the environment but disrupts the life of animals and plants that live in the forest. For this reason, continuous efforts are needed to prevent Forest Damage due to illegal logging and to maintain forest sustainability through Forest Protection activities so that forests can be used sustainably for the welfare of the Indonesian people, both present and future generations. Problem Formulation: 1). Analyzing the role of the Agam Resort Police in tackling illegal logging crimes. 2). Analyzing the obstacles encountered by the Agam Resort Police in tackling illegal logging in Agam District. This study uses an empirical juridical method. The author's data sources use primary, secondary, and tertiary data sources. Data collection techniques are interviews, documentation studies and qualitative data analysis. Research results: 1). The role of the Agam Resort Police in tackling illegal logging crimes. 2). Obstacles encountered by the Agam Resort Police in tackling illegal logging in Agam District.References
