The mechanism for dismissing regional heads is Based on Act no. 10 of 2016 has been regulated in article 173. There are dismissals that involve or are initiated by the DPRD, and there are those that are not initiated by the DPRD but are carried out directly by the President, through a court decision that has permanent legal force. Research Results (1) The mechanism for dismissing regional heads in general is determined by the President based on the proposal of the Provincial DPRD as the result of a plenary meeting through the Minister of Home Affairs based on the proposal of the Regency/Municipal DPRD as a plenary result through the Governor as the representative of the central government. (2) For the implementation, the elected Regent, is still appointed as Regent, then after that he is dismissed as Regent.References
