Abstract

The P3AP2KB Service has a role in ensuring children's rights. This is regulated in Padang Mayor Regulation Number 49 of 2022 concerning the Position, Composition, Organization, Duties, Functions and Work Procedures of the Women's Empowerment, Child Protection, Population Control and Family Planning Services. However, there are still children in difficult conditions. In other words, there needs to be a role for DP3AP2KB in fulfilling children's welfare. Formulation of the problem; 1) What is the role of DP3AP2KB Padang City in fulfilling child welfare? 2) What are the obstacles faced by DP3AP2KB Padang City in fulfilling child welfare? 3) What are the efforts made by DP3AP2KB Padang City to fulfill child welfare? Types of Sociological Juridical Research. The data sources used were primary and secondary data, then data collection techniques using document studies and interviews were analyzed qualitatively. Research results: 1) The role of DP3AP2KB Padang City in fulfilling children's welfare is collaborating and collaborating with Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) and Children's Friendly Companies in Padang City. 2) The obstacles faced by the Padang City DP3AP2KB in fulfilling child welfare in post-Covid-19 funding and the lack of maximum cooperation with the relevant OPD. 3) The efforts made by DP3AP2KB Padang City to fulfill child welfare are to create and implement programs about children.
