PELAKSANAAN PENGAWASAN URUSAN STABILISASI HARGA BARANG KEBUTUHAN POKOK DAN PENTING OLEH PEMERINTAH KOTA PADANG

Abstract

Prices of basic necessities and important goods often experience price instability in the City of Padang with the Mayor of Padang Regulation Number 43 of 2022 concerning the Position, Organizational Structure, Duties, Functions and Work Procedures of the Trade Service. The problem formulation is: 1. What are the forms of supervision carried out by the Padang City Regional Government in carrying out supervision regarding price stabilization of basic necessities and important goods? 2. What are the obstacles in implementing supervision of price stabilization of basic necessities and important goods by the Padang City Government. 3. What efforts have been made by the Padang City Regional Government to overcome obstacles in carrying out supervision of price stabilization matters for basic necessities and important goods. This research is sociological juridical legal research. The data sources used were primary data and secondary data, analyzed qualitatively. The results of the research and discussion are: 1) The form of monitoring the implementation of price stabilization matters is carried out by collaborating with central and regional government agencies, carrying out low-cost market operations, and making policies and monitoring. 2) Obstacles found were lack of information related to the implementation of cheap market operations, community habits, and climate change. 3) Efforts made were to improve communication with sub-district and sub-district governments, increase cooperation, supervision, ensure stock availability, and monitor prices of goods.
