Abstract

The Regent as the road organizer is obliged and appropriate to repair damaged roads that can cause accidents .Law Number 38 of 2004 concerning roads. Roads as one of the transportation infrastructures are an important element in the development of the life of the nation and state, in fostering the unity and integrity of the nation, the territory of the state, and the function of society as well as in showing public welfare as referred to in advancing public welfare as referred to in the preamble of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia. The formulation of the problems in this study are: 1) How is the Regent responsible for road damage in Nagari Lubuak Jantan, North Lintau Buo District, Tanah Datar Regency? 2) What are the obstacles to road damage in Nagari Lubuak Jantan, North Lintau Buo, Tanah Datar Regency? 3) What are the efforts made by Buapti in overcoming the problems of repairing road damage in Nagari Lubuak Jantan, North Lintau Buo District, Tanah Datar Regency? The type of research is Sociological Law, data sources include primary data and secondary data. Data is analyzed qualitatively.
