PELAKSANAAN PERKAWINAN SEBELUM USIA 19 TAHUN DI KECAMATAN SUNGAI GERINGGING KABUPATEN PADANG PARIAMAN

Abstract

ABSTRAK One of the conditions for a marriage to be valid is if the man and woman reach the minimum age of 19 years, but marriages still occur before the age of 19 years. Problem Formulation: 1) What are the factors causing marriage before the age of 19 in Sungai Geringging District, Padang Pariaman Regency? 2) What are the consequences of marriage before the age of 19 in Sungai Geringging District, Padang Pariaman Regency? 3) How do you deal with marriage before the age of 19 in Sungai Geringging District, Padang Pariaman Regency? This research is sociological juridical research. Data sources consist of primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques through interviews and document study. Data was analyzed qualitatively. Research results: 1) Marriage before the age of 19 is caused by economic factors, educational factors, out-of-wedlock pregnancy factors, customary factors and parental factors. 2) Marriage before the age of 19 has an impact on: the economy, health, domestic violence and divorce. 3) Overcoming marriage before the age of 19 includes parents monitoring their children more socially, parents changing their mindset.
