Abstract

ABSTRAK In Law no. 8 of 1999 concerning consumer protection. Implementation of legal protection for consumers of dental services that can harm consumers is a problem for the government. This relates to consumer rights, especially the right to consumer safety and security. This research formulated the problem: (1) How is the implementation of legal protection for consumers of dental services in Lubuk Suhuing? (2) What are the obstacles to legal protection for consumers of dental services in Lubuk Suhuing? (3) What are the efforts to provide legal protection for consumers of dental services in Lubuk Suhuing? This research uses a type of sociological law. Research results (1) Implementation of a form of legal protection for consumers of dental services in Lubuk Suhuing by preventing negative things between dentists and consumers. (2) Obstacles in legal protection for consumers of dental services in Lubuk Suhuing are the lack of awareness of business actors and consumers to comply with statutory regulations. (3) Efforts to provide legal protection for consumers of dental services in Lubuk Suhuing with the existence of a supervisory institution that specifically handles consumer protection issues for dental services.
