ABSTRAK The increase in coffee consumption and changes in people's lifestyles have led to the development of the coffee shop industry in Indonesia. The development of modern coffee shops can be seen in urban centers because urban residents have a higher consumer attitude compared to rural residents. According to the provisions of Article 1 Number 1 of Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection, what is meant by Consumer Protection is all efforts to establish legal certainty to offer protection to customers. Problem formulation (1) How are consumer rights implemented in the coffee shop business? Situ Koffie in Padang City? (2) What are the obstacles in implementing consumer rights at Situ Koffie? (3) What are the efforts made by the Situ Koffie shop to overcome the obstacles that occur in providing consumer rights? The type of research used is sociological juridical, the data sources used are primary data and secondary data, data collection techniques using interviews and document studies, analyzed qualitatively. (1) Implementation of consumer rights, namely in the form of fulfilling promises or fulfilling consumer requests as quickly as possible, providing complete information to consumers regarding work that has been completed, scope of work, and efforts to guarantee the quality and quality of products from the menu. (2) obstacles in fulfilling consumer rights, namely meeting speed of time, providing insufficient information, scope of work, service, and taste that are sometimes inappropriate. (3) Efforts made by coffee shop business actors to overcome the obstacles that occur, namely, providing compensation for damage, pollution or loss to consumers resulting from consuming goods or services, compensation in the form of refunds/health care..References
