PERAN DIREKTORAT RESERSE KRIMINAL KHUSUS UNIT CYBER CRIME KEPOLISIAN DAERAH SUMATERA BARAT DALAM MENANGGULANGI REVENGE PORNOGRAPHY

Abstract

Regulations regarding revenge pornography in Indonesia are regulated in the Criminal Code, the Pornography Law, the Information and Electronic Transactions Law, and the Sexual Violence Crime Law. The handling of revenge pornography is the authority of Special Criminal Investigation Directorate. Research Objectives (1) To analyze the role Special Criminal Investigation Directorate of the West Sumatra Regional Police Cyber Crime Unit in tackling revenge pornography. (2) To analyze the obstacles faced by the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate of the West Sumatra Regional Police Cyber Crime Unit in tackling revenge pornography. The author uses a socio-legal approach. The results of the study: (1) Special Criminal Investigation Directorate of the West Sumatra Regional Police's cyber crime unit tackles revenge pornography by arresting and detaining suspects,confiscating evidence, giving victims protection, one of which is by deleting immoral photos and videos of victims that are still on several sites. (2) The Obstacles The obstacles faced by the Ditreskrimsus Polda West Sumatra in tackling revenge pornography are internal and external constraints.
