Abstract

ABSTRACT Legal awareness is one of the important factors affecting law enforcement. legal awareness of the lempur community in the preservation of local wisdom semah fish around Lake Kaco. (1) How is the legal awareness of the lempur community in the preservation of local wisdom semah fish in lake kaco kerinci? (2) How are the obstacles faced by the lempur kerinci community in preserving semah fish in lake kaco kerinci in maintaining local wisdom? (3) How are the efforts made by the people of lempur kerinci in preserving semah fish in lake kaco kerinci in maintaining local wisdom? Using a sociological juridical approach with primary and secondary data, this study describes the level of legal awareness of the community in maintaining the preservation of semah fish. The results showed that the community has a high level of legal awareness of the preservation of local wisdom, obstacles faced by the community in the preservation of semah fish in lempur kerinci is the absence of officers who supervise if there are people who take semah fish and do not know where the origin of the fish. efforts made by the community in maintaining the preservation of semah fish in lake kaco is to provide socialisation to the community.
