PROSEDUR PENYELESAIAN TUNGGAKAN IURAN JAMINAN SOSIAL KETENAGAKERJAAN PADA BPJS KETENAGAKERJAAN CABANG PADANG

Abstract

BPJS Employment is an institution that has the authority to regulate the provision of guarantees to workers, and functions to provide legal protection for the fulfillment of workers' rights as stated in Law Number 24 of 2011 concerning BPJS. BPJS Employment Padang Branch reported that in Padang City, arrears in employment social security contributions for 2023 Employment Social Security participants recorded a total amount of Rp. 4.8 billion. Problem Statement: (1) What is the procedure for resolving arrears in employment social security contributions at BPJS Employment Padang Branch ? (2) What are the obstacles to BPJS Employment Padang Branch resolving contribution arrears? (3) What are the efforts to overcome BPJS Employment Padang Branch's obstacles in resolving contribution arrears? This research uses a sociological juridical approach, with primary and secondary data sources. Data collection techniques include document studies and interviews. Data analysis was carried out qualitatively. Research Results: (1) Procedure for resolving arrears in employment social security contributions at BPJS Employment Padang Branch, namely by carrying out supervision, inspection, and notifying arrears of consequences if they do not pay off arrears in contributions. (2) Obstacles for BPJS Employment in resolving arrears in employment social security contributions, namely loss of address. companies are in arrears of contributions, and lack of awareness of companies paying contributions. (3) Efforts to overcome BPJS employment constraints in the Padang Branch in resolving arrears in social security contributions, namely tracing addresses, using official information sources, public notifications, collaborating with external parties, and improving information systems.
