Abstract

Doxing or disseminating personal data by other people is a criminal act that can have serious consequences because it harms other people. In Indonesia Doxing is regulated in Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 27 of 2022 concerning Personal Data Protection, Malaysia is regulated in the Personal Data Protection Act 2010, Singapore is regulated in the Personal Data Protection Act 2012, and Thailand Personal Data Protection 2019. Problems: (1) How are regulations regarding the elements of offense in the crime of Doxing? (2) What is the formulation of criminal sanctions for Doxing crimes in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand? In this type of normative legal research, data sources are secondary data in the form of primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials and qualitative data analysis. Research results: (1) elements of the Doxing offense in Indonesia, namely unlawful disclosure of personal data belonging to other people, Malaysia Disclosure of personal data without the consent of the data user, Singapore individual actions that cause the disclosure of personal data belonging to other people, Thailand disclosure of personal data without the owner's consent data (2) In Indonesia, Doxing is punishable by a maximum prison sentence of 4 years and a fine, in Malaysia it is punishable by a maximum prison sentence of 3 years and a fine, in Singapore by a prison sentence of 2 years and a fine, and in Thailand by a maximum prison sentence of 12 months and a fine.
