PERAN WOMEN’S CRISIS CENTER NURANI PEREMPUAN DALAM MEMBERIKAN ADVOKASI KEPADA KORBAN KEKERASAN SEKSUAL DI LINGKUNGAN KAMPUS

Abstract

The government is trying to tackle sexual violence in the campus environment by presenting Permendikbudristek Number 30 of 2021 concerning the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence in the Campus Environment. Komnas Perempuan launched CATAHU 2022, from the report said that gender-based violence on campus ranks first with a presentation of 35% and the rampant sexual violence in West Sumatra universities has become a public concern that the campus is a hotbed of sexual violence due to power relations. Problem formulation: (1) How is the role of Women's Crisis Center (WCC) Nurani Perempuan in providing advocacy for victims of sexual violence in the campus environment? (2) what are the obstacles faced by WCC Nurani Perempuan in providing assistance to victims of sexual violence? This type of research sociological juridical. The data sources used were primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques by conducting interviews and document studies. Data was analyzed qualitatively. Research results: (1) The role of WCC Nurani Perempuan is very active in carrying out the work mandate in victim advocacy and cooperation with the National Commission on Violence Against Women in reporting case data. (2) There is a campus that is not open with WCC Nurani Perempuan and it is difficult to get someone with a high position on campus who has a good perspective on sexual violence and victims and the psychological condition of victims to report.
