In the establishment of a PT, there is a division between shareholders, namely majority shareholders and minority shareholders. In principle, majority shareholders have a higher position than minority shareholders, because voting rights at the time of a General Meeting of Shareholders are calculated from the number of shares held. owned, therefore the formulation of the problem is: (1) What is the status or position of minority shareholders in PT. Sarana West Sumatra Ventura? (2) What are the efforts made by PT. West Sumatra Ventura's means of protecting the rights of its minority shareholders? The type of research used is sociological juridical. Secondary and primary data sources. Data collection techniques are interviews and document research. The data analysis used is qualitative. Investigation Conclusion: (1) PT. Sarana Sumatera Barat Ventura does not clearly and in writing regulate the position and status of its minority shareholders, but minority shareholders certainly still have legal status in the PT, because shareholders in a company have the same rights and obligations (2) Efforts carried out by PT. West Sumatra Ventura's means of protecting minority shareholders are the same as majority shareholders, there is no difference in the responsibilities of Directors and Commissioners between minority shareholders and majority shareholders, PT. Sarana West Sumatra Ventura, will be responsible for losses caused in accordance with the provisions of statutory regulations if at any time an unlawful act occurs.
