Abstract

ABSTRACT he growth of the fashion industry has increased rapidly in the current era. Existing information technology is a medium for delivering information on changing trends. One trend at this time is to use imported used clothes, therefore the trade office must supervise imported used clothes due to several impacts such as skin diseases, diarrhea and so on. The issues discussed are: 1. What is the role of the trade office in supervising imported used clothing in Padang City? 2. What are the obstacles faced by the trade office in supervising imported used clothing in Padang City? 3. What are the efforts of the trade office in supervising imported clothing in Padang City? This research uses a sociological juridical approach. The data sources used are primary data, secondary data, and tertiary data. Data collection techniques are obtained through interviews, document studies, and data analysis. Conclusion of the investigation: 1) Supervision carried out by the Padang City trade office on the trade of imported used clothes does not run optimally 2) The obstacle faced by the Padang City Trade Office is the lack of socialization of supervision of imported used clothes in the city of Padang. 3) The efforts made by the Padang City trade office in resolving obstacles in the supervision of imported used clothing in the city of Padang are conducting socialization, encouraging the city government to issue a Mayor regulation regarding the implementation of supervision of imported used clothing.
