PELAKSANAAN PELAYANAN PEMBUATAN SURAT IZIN MENGEMUDI (SIM) UNTUK MEWUJUDKAN PELAYANAN PUBLIK YANG OPTIMAL DI POLRESTA PADANG

Abstract

The police is one of the government institutions that provides services to the community. One form of public service provided by the government to the community is a driving license (SIM) service. Formulation of the problem : 1) How is the driving license (SIM) service implemented at the Padang Police? 2) What are the obstacles faced by motor vehicle owners in processing a driving license (SIM) at the Padang Police? 3) What are the efforts to overcome the obstacles faced by motor vehicle owners in obtaining a driving license (SIM) at the Padang Police? The type of research used in this research is sociological juridical, using primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques include document studies and interviews, and the data is analyzed qualitatively so that it can be accounted for. From the research results, it was concluded that 1) The implementation of SIM making services at the Padang Police has been carried out optimally. The implementation of making a SIM at Padang Police is divided into two, namely making a new SIM and extending a SIM. 2) Obstacles faced by motor vehicle owners in obtaining a driver's license at the Padang Police: a) Failing the theory test. b) Fail the practical test. 3) Efforts to overcome the obstacles faced by motor vehicle owners in obtaining a driver's license at the Padang Police: a) Padang Police has a Coaching clinic program. b) Conduct free online tutoring for SIM applicants both in theory and practice.
