Abstract

Efforts to improve safe health services H. Hanafie Muaro Bungo Hospital formed an ethics committee to handle various ethical issues. Minister of Health Regulation 42/2018 has not been implemented optimally at the H. Hanafie Muaro Bungo Regional Hospital. In its implementation, the Ethics Committee of H. Hanafie Muaro Bungo Hospital is carried out only when accreditation is required. Results: 1) Implementation of Minister of Health Regulation Number 42 of 2018 concerning Hospital Ethics and Law Committees Hospital has gone well, but its implementation is not optimal. 2) Obstacles in implementing Minister of Health Regulation Number 42 of 2018 concerning Hospital Ethics and Law Committees, lack of knowledge, ethical guidelines regarding procedures for appointing ethics committees, socialization regarding the duties and authority of ethics committees in hospitals, absence of SOPs or complaint and reporting flow, and supervisory guidance. regarding ethical guidelines. 3) Efforts to implement Minister of Health Regulation Number 42 of 2018 concerning the Hospital Ethics and Legal Committee, making SOPs, socializing the SOP for complaint flow and reporting procedures established by the Ethics Committee, socializing the duties and authority of the Ethics Committee, the need to prepare ethical and behavioral guidelines, and the need for guidance and supervision.
