KESADARAN HUKUM MASYARAKAT DALAM MEMBAYAR IURAN BADAN PENYELENGGARA JAMINAN SOSIAL (BPJS) KESEHATAN DI KECEMATAN ULAKAN TAPAKIS KABUPATEN PADANG PARIAMAN

Abstract

ABSTRACK Public legal awareness in paying contributions to the Social Security Administering Body (BPJS) Health is an important aspect in ensuring the sustainability of the National Health Insurance (JKN) program. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence public legal awareness in Ulakan Tapakis District, Padang Pariaman Regency in paying BPJS Health contributions, the obstacles faced, and efforts made by BPJS Health in increasing public awareness. The research method used is a sociological method with a qualitative approach. Data were obtained through interviews with the community and BPJS Health, and related document studies. The results of the study indicate that economic factors, lack of legal understanding, distrust of BPJS services, and a large number of family members are the main obstacles in paying BPJS Health contributions. In addition, some people feel they do not need BPJS services because they rarely get sick. Efforts made by BPJS Health to increase public awareness include socialization, a gradual payment program (Rehab), and a direct approach through National Health Insurance (JKN) cadres. It is hoped that increased socialization, more flexible policies, and incentives for participants who are obedient in paying contributions can increase public compliance with BPJS Health payments
