PERLINDUNGAN HUKUM BAGI PENUMPANG TRANSPORTASI ANGKUTAN SEWA KHUSUS PADA GRAB DI KOTA PADANG

Abstract

ABSTRAK Special Rental Transportation in this era of globalization has increased and developed rapidly so that the increasing need for transportation to travel anywheres. One of the developments in transportation that follows the development of community needs today is the service provided by the company PT. Grab with the type of service, namely GrabBike. Since the entry of this application-based transportation in Indonesia, there have been several losses and complaints experienced by passengers and consumers. Legal protection is needed to minimize user risks, especially for passengers using Special Rental Transportation services. Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation and Regulation of the Minister of Transportation Number PM 12 Concerning the Safety Protection of Motorcycle Users Used for the Interest of the Community1) How is the Legal Protection for Special Transportation passengers of PT. Grab Padang branch, if there are losses caused by the driver? 2) What are the Obstacles or Challenges of PT. Grab Padang branch in improving services to passengers? 3) How are PT. Grab Padang branch's efforts to optimize the quality of service to passengers? This type of research is sociological juridical. Data collection techniques were obtained through interviews and document studies. The results of this study are 1) Legal Protection for Special Transportation passengers of PT. Grab Padang branch, if there are losses caused by the driver. 2) Constraints or Challenges of PT. Grab Padang branch in improving services to passengers. 3) Efforts of PT. Grab Padang branch to optimize passenger inter-passenger services.
