Abstract

ABSTRACT E-commerce transactions are the process of buying and selling goods and services carried out via computer networks. All online buying and selling transactions are carried out without any face-to-face contact between the parties. They base the buying and selling transactions on a sense of trust in each other so that the buying and selling agreements between the parties are carried out electronically through Electronic Commerce (E-Commerce). Product cannot be tried. In electronic buying and selling, the products offered are varied and diverse, and all products cannot be tried. the buyer is looking for clothes, then the seller only provides the size and the buyer must choose according to the size. Problem formulation, 1) What is the form of legal protection for consumers in e-commerce transactions PT. shopee?, 2) What is the form of responsibility of business actors for business actors' default in trading through PT.shopee e-commerce transactions?. The data source research type used was primary data and secondary data, then data collection techniques used document studies and interviews which were analyzed qualitatively. Results of research and discussion 1) Consumer's Right to Demand Compensation for Losses In protecting shopee consumers, if the goods and/or services received do not comply with the agreement or are not as they should be, then shopee is obliged to provide replacement/return of the product, 2) and is responsible for providing compensation or damage in accordance with what is regulated in Article 19 UUPK.
