PELAKSANAAN PELAYANAN IMUNISASI KESEHATAN IBU DAN ANAK (KIA) DI PUSKESMAS LUBUK BASUNG

Abstract

ABSTRAK Maternal and Child Health (KIA) immunization services play a crucial role in improving public health by preventing vaccine-preventable diseases. This study aims to analyze the implementation of immunization services at the Lubuk Basung Health Center, identify obstacles, and explore efforts to enhance immunization coverage.The research formulates three key questions: (1) How are maternal and child health immunization services implemented at the Lubuk Basung Health Center? (2) What obstacles hinder the implementation of these services? (3) What efforts are being made to improve immunization services? Using a sociological legal research approach, this study relies on primary and secondary data sources, with data collected through interviews and document analysis. The findings indicate that while immunization services at the Lubuk Basung Health Center align with established standards, additional strategies are required to expand coverage. Key challenges include a lack of public awareness about immunization and the need for stronger policy support. To address these barriers, efforts focus on enhancing community education and strengthening policy frameworks to ensure that immunization services operate effectively and reach all target groups. Strengthening these initiatives is essential to improving immunization rates and safeguarding public health.
