Abstract

ABSTRACT The Nagari Traditional Council (KAN) has an important role in shaping the personalities of teenage children in the Nagari Limo Kaum community, Tanah Datar Regency. As a traditional institution that collects cultural values. Problem Formulation: 1). What is the implementation of the KAN institution in shaping the personality of teenage children in the nagari Limo Kaum community, Tanah Datar Regency? 2) What are the obstacles to the KAN institution in shaping the personality of teenage children in the nagari Limo Kaum community, Tanah Datar Regency? Data sources consist of primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques through interviews and document study. Data was analyzed qualitatively. Research results: 1) The implementation of the KAN institution in shaping the personality of teenage children has been carried out quite well and has had a significant impact, but there are still several things that are obstacles to implementation. 2) The obstacles faced certainly have quite a big influence because they have an impact on the lack of attention of teenagers to what has been implemented by the KAN institution. 3) To overcome this, the KAN institution has made various efforts by working more closely with the nagari guardians and the nagari community.
