Abstract

ABSTRACT In fact, the reality in the field often shows a mismatch between expectations and reality. Many business actors still pay little attention to the quality of the products they produce, thereby increasing the risk of circulation of expired food and beverages. For business behavior to harm consumers means committing acts against the law. Acts against the law are regulated in Article 1365 of the Civil Code. Problem formulation: 1) How is the Responsibility of Business Actors for the Inclusion of Expired Food and Beverage Labels in Padang City? 2) What are the obstacles of business actors towards the Inclusion of Expired Food and Beverage Labels in Padang City? 3) What are the efforts made by business actors against the Inclusion of Expired Food and Beverage Labels in Padang City?. Data sources used primary data and secondary data then data collection techniques using document studies and interviews which are analyzed qualitatively. Research results: 1) Responsibility of Business Actors for the Inclusion of Expired Food and Beverage Labels in Padang City, namely: Product Return, Refund (Refund). 2) Constraints of Business Actors Against the Inclusion of Expired Food and Beverage Labels in Padang City: Obstacles in Determining an Unclear Expiration Date, Dependence on Suppliers or Distributors, Time-Consuming Communication and Checking Processes, Differences in Expiration Date Management Systems in Each Supplier. 3) Efforts made by business actors against the Inclusion of Expired Food and Beverage Labels in Padang City: Periodic Inspection of Products, Guarantee of Compensation or Refund for Harmed Consumers, Cooperation with Suppliers to Avoid Errors in Inclusion of Expiration Dates
