Abstract

ABSTRAK Law Number 33 of 2014 regarding Halal Product Assurance serves as a legal framework designed to offer legal protection to Muslim customers against the ambiguity of various items, particularly food and beverages lacking a halal certification. The objective of labeling goods and services is to provide consumers with accurate and transparent information about each packaged food and beverage product, including details about the packaging's origin and quality. Problem Formulation 1. What are the legal regulations concerning the application of halal labels on food and beverage goods that lack halal certification from BPJPH in Padang City? What are the challenges in ensuring consumer protection for food and beverage goods that lack halal labeling in Padang City? 3) What is the solution for ensuring consumer protection for food and beverage products that lack halal labeling in Padang City? Type of sociological-legal research. Data Types and Sources: Primary Data and Secondary Data, Conclusion 1). Sanctions for violations by business actors who do not include halal labels on halal-certified products or include fake halal labels can be subject to the following sanctions: a. Written warning, b. Administrative fines, c. Revocation of business licenses. 2) Obligations - Obligations of business actors in the city of Padang must have the following obligations: a. Registering Products for Halal Certification, b. Including Halal Labels, c. Providing Information on Non-Halal Products, d. Complying with Halal Standards
