PERANAN DINAS PARIWISATA DALAM MENINGKATKAN PENDAPATAN ASLI DAERAH KOTA PADANG

Abstract

Padang City is the capital of West Sumatra Province, has a lot of tourism potential that has not been exploited optimally. Tourism as referred to in Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 10 of 2009 concerning Tourism in Article 1 number 3, one of the objectives of tourism is to improve welfare and economic growth. Tourism in Padang City is under the management of the Tourism Department. Problem Formulation, 1) How is the implementation of the duties and functions of the Tourism Department in increasing Padang City's Original Regional Income from the tourism sector? 2) What are the obstacles faced by the Tourism Department in increasing Padang City's Original Regional Income from the tourism sector? 3) What are the efforts made by the Tourism Department to increase the Regional Original Income of Padang City from the tourism sector? To answer the problem above, the research method used is Sociological Law. Data collection techniques using interviews and document study. Data analysis using qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of the research and discussion of the problems studied are 1) That in principle there are several things that are still experiencing obstacles. 2) The obstacles faced by the Tourism Department in increasing the Regional Original Income of Padang City from the tourism sector are that there has been no improvement in facilities and infrastructure. 3) The efforts made by the Tourism Department in increasing the Regional Original Income of Padang City from the tourism sector are completing the facilities and infrastructure.
