PENERAPAN PERATURAN DAERAH NOMOR 24 TAHUN 2012 TENTANG KAWASAN TANPA ROKOK DI TEMPAT PROSES BELAJAR MENGAJAR FORMAL TINGKAT SMA DAN TEMPAT IBADAH DI KECAMATAN PADANG UTARA KOTA PADANG

Abstract

The implementation of Regional Regulation Number 24 of 2012 concerning Smoke-Free Areas is an effort by the Padang City Government to protect the public from the dangers of exposure to cigarette smoke, especially in teaching and learning places and places of worship as public spaces involving vulnerable groups such as children and adolescents. However, in practice the implementation of this policy in Padang Utara District is still not running optimally, effectively and sustainably at this time. Problem formulation: 1) How is the implementation of Regional Regulation Number 24 of 2012 concerning Smoke-Free Areas in teaching and learning places and places of worship. 2) Obstacles faced in the implementation of Regional Regulation Number 24 of 2012 concerning Smoke-Free Areas in teaching and learning places and places of worship. 3) efforts made by managers of teaching and learning places and places of worship to overcome obstacles in implementing the regulation. The research method used is sociological juridical. Data collection techniques through document studies and interviews, then the data is analyzed qualitatively. Research results: 1) the implementation of Padang City Regional Regulation Number 24 of 2012 concerning Smoke-Free Areas in Padang Utara District has not run optimally. 2) Obstacles faced include a lack of public outreach, low public awareness of the rules, a lack of supporting facilities such as smoking ban signs, and limited supervision. 3) Efforts made include increasing outreach, public awareness, providing supporting facilities, and increasing supervision of policy implementation.
