Train accidents are incidents that may result in fatalities and injuries, thereby requiring legal protection and social security guarantees for the victims. PT Jasa Raharja (Persero), a stateowned enterprise, is authorized to provide life insurance compensation to victims of train accidents in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. The research problems in this study are: (1) How is the implementation of life insurance claims for train accident victims at PT Jasa Raharja Padang Branch? (2) What obstacles are encountered in the implementation of such life insurance claims? and (3) What efforts are undertaken by PT Jasa Raharja Padang Branch to overcome these obstacles? This research employs a socio-legal (juridical-empirical) approach through interviews and document studies. The data sources consist of primary data obtained from interviews with relevant parties and secondary data derived from statutory regulations, legal literature, and supporting documents.The results of the study indicate that: (1) The implementation of life insurance claims for train accident victims at PT Jasa Raharja Padang Branch has generally been carried out in accordance with applicable legal provisions; however, (2) there are obstacles, including a lack of public understanding regarding claim procedures and issues related to the determination of legal heirs. (3) The efforts undertaken include public outreach and socialization, enhanced inter-agency coordination, and careful data verification to ensure legal certainty for victims and their heirs.
