PERANAN WALI NAGARI DALAM PEMBANGUNAN DI KENAGARIAN KAMBANG TIMUR KECAMATAN LENGAYANG KABUPATEN PESISIR SELATAN

Abstract

The success of a village's development is inseparable from the role of the village head as a leader within the village. This is also a function of the village government itself, namely the village head's role in development. Problem Formulation: 1) What is the role of the village head in development in the Kambang Timur Village, Lengayang District, Pesisir Selatan Regency? 2) What are the obstacles faced by the village head in development in the Kambang Timur Village, Lengayang District, Pesisir Selatan Regency? 3) What efforts have the Village Heads (Wali Nagari) made to carry out development in the Kambang Timur Village, Lengayang District, Pesisir Selatan Regency? This study uses sociological legal research. The data sources are primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques used were document studies and interviews. Data were analyzed qualitatively, grouping data according to the aspects studied, without using numbers. The research conclusions are: 1) The role of the Village Head in development in the Kambang Timur Village, Lengayang District, Pesisir Selatan Regency, is to develop village development. In implementing the program, the Village Head, who has been given the authority to carry out his duties, must play a direct role. 2) Obstacles that arise in development in the Kambang Timur Village, Lengayang District, Lengayang Regency, Pesisir Selatan Regency, include obstacles or problems faced in managing the village development program, namely a lack of budget for development. 3) Efforts made by the Village Head to overcome these obstacles by maximizing the available budget.
