ABSTRACT
The role of the Land Deed Making Officer is very important in ensuring legal certainty and legal protection for the community, especially in the process of transferring land rights through buying and selling. Problem formulation 1) How is the implementation of the role of the Land Deed Making Officer in making land sale and purchase deeds in Ujung Padang village, Mukomuko Regency? 2) What are the obstacles to the role of the Land Deed Making Officer in making land sale and purchase deeds in Ujung Padang village, Mukomuko Regency? 3) What efforts are made to overcome the obstacles to the role of the Land Deed Making Officer in making land sale and purchase deeds in Ujung Padang village, Mukomuko Regency? Type of sociological research; Data sources are primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques are carried out by document studies and interviews. Data are analyzed qualitatively. Research results 1) In the process of making land sale and purchase deeds, the Land Deed Making Officer uses several stages such as the initial consultation stage, the stage of granting and collecting requirements, the stage of examining and checking certificates, the stage of re-measuring the land (if necessary), the stage of data verification by the National Land Agency, the stage of paying taxes, the stage of signing the sale and purchase deed. 2). The obstacles are the difference in land area in the old certificate, overlapping land ownership, administrative changes due to village expansion, incompatibility of land area with the latest measurement results and incompatibility of the owner's name between the certificate and the electronic KTP. 3) Efforts in the form of a request for correction of land owner name data, adjustment of data due to village expansion, settlement of overlapping land through boundary data collection, coordination with the National Land Agency before making a deed.
