Abstract
Railway infrastructure organizers are entities that manage the implementation of railway operations as regulated in Article 1 number 16 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 23 of 2007 concerning Railways. One incident in August 2025 involved an accident between a train and a minibus at the Jati Koto Panjang level crossing in Padang City. The problem formulations are as follows: 1) What are the obstacles faced by railway infrastructure organizers in preventing train accidents on railway traffic routes? 2) What efforts are made by railway infrastructure organizers to prevent train accidents on railway traffic routes? The type of research used is
sociological legal research. Data sources consist of primary and secondary data obtained through interviews and document studies, and the data are analyzed qualitatively. Research conclusions: 1). The role of railway infrastructure organizers in the Divre II Sumbar area in addressing accidents still faces obstacles such as illegal crossings, low public compliance, and suboptimal coordination between agencies. 2).
