Abstract

One of the police role in highway traffic is conducting raids in the raid are there children who violate traffic rules because children are not eligible to have a license.

Formulation of the problem is, How role of the police in a raid on a child traffic in Padang? What obstacles encountered by the police in conducting raids against child traffic motorcyclists in Padang?

Type juridical sociological research, the data source is a source of primary data and secondary data, data collection techniques by means of the study of documents, interviews and observations, the data were analyzed qualitatively.

Conclusions of the research, The role of the police in conducting raids against child traffic in the city of Padang, in the form of: reducing the rate of traffic accidents, especially to children motorcyclists; increase awareness of traffic laws to children in the form of counseling or advice; and called the child's parents to be briefed on traffic rules, constraints encountered by the police in conducting raids against child traffic motorcyclists in the city of Padang, in the form of: inadequate facilities and infrastructure in order to realize the traffic; lack of awareness of the activities of orderly traffic; implementation of training and education to schools is still lacking; lack of socializing in driving on the highway; lack of supervision on the implementation of the policy; and motor design earlier times higher than today, so the kids are hard to drive a motor.
