KESADARAN HUKUM MASYARAKAT DALAM MENGGUNAKAN HELM OLEH SATUAN LALU LINTAS (SATLANTAS) POLRES PESISIR SELATAN
Abstract
The obligation to wear a helmet in Pesisir Selatan district still widely seen to lack of public awareness of the law in general against the order of traffic, especially the helmet.As set out in the Traffic Act No. 22 of 2009 on Traffic and road transport. Still common / visible society, students who commit traffic violations and traffic accidents caused by the lack of public awareness of the importance of laws and regulations. Issues raised: 1) How are the traffic unit (Traffic) Police South Coast in raising legal awareness in the use of helmets? 2) What obstacles encountered Traffic Unit (Traffic) Police South Coast in raising legal awareness? Research iniberisfat socio-juridical ie, approach the problem through legal research by looking at the legal norms in force and is connected with the fact or facts in the field are carried out directly by Invisible Resort Police Pesisir Selatan, with data collection technique document research, interviews, questionnaires, and then in the analysis qualitative. From the research are: 1) Efforts Traffic Unit (Traffic) Police pesisir selatan communities in raising awareness of the law is to provide public education / rider kendraan motorized, perform regular raids by the way patrols, and perform ticketed. 2) Obstacles encountered Traffic Unit (Traffic) Police pesisir selatan in raising public legal awareness is often unwarranted close proximity so they are reluctant to use a helmet and a lack of public awareness.
