PENGARUH PENERAPAN MODEL MIND MAPPING TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR IPS SISWA KELAS IV DI SD NEGERI 20 TUNGGUL HITAM PADANG

Abstract
 This study aims to determine the effect of the application of mind mapping model to the learning outcomes of IPS students of grade IV SDN 20 Tunggul Hitam Padang. This type of research is experimental research. The independent variable in this research is the application of mind mapping while the dependent variable is the result of IPS learning. The population in this study were all students of SDN 20 Tunggul Hitam Padang, amounting to 342 students. The sample in this research is the fourth grade students of SDN 20 Tunggul Hitam Padang taken using purposive sampling technique. The data collected in the form of students' IPS learning outcomes. Data collection techniques in this study using tests and documentation. Hypothesis testing using t-test formula that preceded by prerequisite analysis test that is normality test and homogeneity test. The result of the research shows that there are significant difference of learning result of IPS between experimental class applying mind mapping model and control class by applying conventional method. This is indicated by the t-test that is tcount 4.63> ttable 1.68 at significant significant (α) 0.05. The average value of post test experimental class score of 86.88 is better than the average value of post test class control is 74.88 and KKM 75.
