Abstract

 

This study aims to determine the effect of applying examples non examples model to the results of IPS study of fourth graders in SD Negeri 27 Sungai Sapih Padang. This type of research is experimental research. The independent variable in this research is the application of examples non examples model while the dependent variable is the result of IPS learning. The population in this study is all students of SD Negeri 27 Sungai Sapih Padang, amounting to 313 students. The sample in this research is the fourth grade students of SD Negeri 27 Sungai Sapih Padang, which is taken using purposive sampling technique. The data collected in the form of students' IPS learning outcomes. Data collection techniques in this study using tests and documentation. Hypothesis testing using t-test formula that preceded by prerequisite analysis test that is normality test and homogeneity test. The results showed significant differences in IPS learning outcomes between the experimental classes that applied the models of examples non examples and control classes by applying conventional learning methods. This is indicated by the t-test result that is tcount 2.05>ttabel 1.68 at significant level significant 0,05. The average result of post test experimental class score of 86,2 is better than result of average post test of control class that is 79,58 and KKM 80.
