PERANCANGAN SISTEM INFORMASI GEOGRAFIS PEMETAAN PERGURUAN TINGGI DI KOTA PADANG BERBASIS WEB

Abstrak

The unavailability of fast and accurate information, therefore needed media aids in overcoming the difficulties of the community to find and know about information about universities in Padang City. In this final project, the researcher makes Higher Education Design in Padang City Based on WEB by using Google Maps API to display map of  location which has limitation in every sub-district of Padang City. The system is designed to produce a college geographic mapping information system  in a web-based in Padang City. The method used is the process model of waterfall method which stage starts from the analysis of running systems; hardware and software, Using the Unified Modeling Language (UML) modeling language, the coding program uses a web-based programming language, namely Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML), Pre Hypertext Processor (PHP), Cascading Style Sheet (CSS), JQuery and MySQL as databases. The last stage is to test the program to the users. From the test results of the program to the user, the user declares that the user needs a high mapping information system and the system can be used as desired. Conclusions which can be drawn from this system is with the geographic information system of this web-based university mapping, it can facilitate in obtaining information on the location of universities in the Padang City. It can also save time in what speed of college decision making which is desirable. In addition, in this system is presented a search facility to provide detailed direction for the users.
