Abstrak

This research is based on the low of problem solving of students of grade X SMA PGRI 1 Padang, so the result of student learning is also low. The purpose of this study is to determine whether the problem solving of students with the application (problem solving) is better than the conventional learning in grade X SMA PGRI 1 Padang academic year 2016/2017. The type of research is experimental research. Population in this research is all student of class X SMA PGRI 1 Padang year lesson 2016/2017. The sample consists of two randomly selected classes of class X.5 (experimental) and class X.6 (control). Based on the analysis, the learning result data in the experimental class has an average value of 78.63 and the control class has an average value of 68.88. After testing hypothesis by using Independent Sample T Test obtained p value (sig) = 0,002 while value (α = 5% and df = 85). Thus p (sig) 0.002 <(α) 0.05, H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. If the hypothesis H1: μ1> μ2 is accepted while the hypothesis H0: μ1 = μ2 is rejected. So it can be concluded that the results of ICT learning students who apply the method l learning (problem solving) is better than the results of ICT learning students who apply conventional learning.
