This study aims to describe the difference of students' learning outcomes between the use
of audio visual media with the use of conventional learning in grade V SD Negeri 29
Dadok Tunggul Hitam Padang Academic Year 2016/2017. This type of research is
experimental research. Population in this research is all student / student of class V SD
Negeri 29 Dadok Tunggul Hitam Padang, amounting to 53 people. Determination of the
sample was taken by total sampling technique which yielded two sample classes consisting
of one experiment class that is VA class and one class was made as control class that is
class VB. Data analysis was done by nomality, homogeneity, and hypothesis with SPSS
version 17.0 software. The result of student study using audio visual media has average
learning result 87,59 and students using conventional learning have average 78.65 with
result of hypothesis test equal to 0,007 <0,05, then H
0 rejected H

accepted. So it can be
concluded that there are differences in learning outcomes of science students between the
use of audio visual media with the use of conventional learning in grade V SD Negeri 29
Dadok Tunggul Hitam Padang Year Teaching 2016/2017
