Abstrak

The purpose of this study is to improve students' learning outcomes in science learning using cooperative model of structured head numbered techniques in class IV SDN 07 Ikur Koto Padang, Padang City. This type of research is a classroom action research. This study was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings and one final test cycle. The subject of this research is the fourth grade students of SDN 07 Ikur Koto Padang, which amounts to 20 people. The research instrument used is observation sheet of learning result of student affective field, observation sheet of teacher aspect in learning, test of student cognitive learning result, field note, and camera. Based on the students' cognitive learning achievement test, the average learning outcomes of cognitive students in cycle I 68.3 and increased in cycle II to 79.3 while the percentage of completeness in cycle I 45% and increased in cycle II 85%. Based on the result of observation sheet of learning result of student affective field, obtained by percentage of affective student learning result in cycle I 68,8 increase to 84,7 in cycle II. This means that science learning by using cooperative model of head numbered techniques can improve student learning outcomes in fourth grade SD Negeri 07 Ikur Koto. Based on the results of this study, researchers suggested that teachers can use cooperative model of structured head technique in the learning to improve student learning outcomes.
