PENERAPAN MODEL PICTURE AND PICTURE DALAM PEMBELAJARAN IPA SISWA KELAS V DI SD NEGERI 29 ULAK KARANG UTARA PADANG

Abstrak

This research aims to describe the difference of science learning outcomes between groups of students who learn to use Picture and Picture model with groups of students who learn to use conventional learning in grade V students of SD Negeri 29 Ulak Karang Utara, Padang in academic year 2016./2017. This type of research is experimental research. The population of this research is all students of class V SD Negeri 29 Ulak Karang Utara, Padang in the academic year 2016./2017. A total of 40 students were selected as a sample determined by random sampling technique. The data analyzed in this research is the score of science learning outcomes of the cognitive domain collected through objective test. The outcomes showed that there is a significant difference in the learning outcomes of science students between the implementation of the Picture and picture model with the outcomes of science learning students with the application of conventional learning. This can be seen from the average acquisition of the experimental class is higher than the average acquisition of the control class (experiment = 80.2> control = 70.6) and the hypothesis test outcomes using t-test with tcount is greater than ttable (tcalc = 2.46> ttable = 2.04). So it can be concluded that the application of the Picture and Picture model gives greater influence than the conventional learning of science learning outcomes of students of grade V SD Negeri 29 Ulak Karang Utara, Padang. Looking at the outcomes of this research, the Picture and Picture model needs to be applied and developed in order to achieve optimal learning outcomes.
