This research is motivated by the reality in the field, the learning in the fourth grade of SD Negeri 04 Salimpat, Solok Regency still often use conventional way, in teaching the fraction counting operation still using the lecture method. Learning is focused solely on the teacher without any responses or questions to the teacher. The purpose of this study is to describe the improvement of learning outcomes of Mathematics class IV students using Realistic Mathematics Education approach at SDN 04 Salimpat. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK). There are four stages of PTK conducted in this research are: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The study was conducted two cycles, this research data obtained from the observation of teacher activity and test results of student learning. Results. Student learning outcomes in cycle I obtained by percentage of learning mastery 64%, while at cycle II 86%. It is concluded that learning mathematics using Realistic Mathematics Education can improve the learning result of fourth grade students.
