PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM CENTERED LEARNING TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR IPS SISWA KELAS IV DI SDN 16 SURAU GADANG KECAMATAN NANGGALO SITEBA PADANG

Abstrak

This study aims to describe the differences in IPS learning outcomes between groups of students learning using Problem Centered Learning model with groups of students learning to use conventional learning in fourth grade students of SD Negeri 16 Surau Gadang Sub Nanggalo Siteba Padang in the academic year 2016/2017. The type of this research is experimental research. The population of this study is all the fourth grade students of SD Negeri 16 Surau Gadang Siteba Padang Subdistrict in the year 2016/2017 learning. A total of 57 students were selected as a sample determined by random sampling technique. The data analyzed in this research is the score of learning result of IPS of cognitive domain collected through objective test. The results showed that there is a significant difference in the learning outcomes of students 'IPS between the implementation of Problem Centered Learning model with students' IPS learning outcomes with the application of conventional learning. This can be seen from the average acquisition of the experimental class is higher than the average gain of the control class (experiment = 80.53> control = 68.10) and the hypothesis test results using t-test with tcount is greater than ttable (tcount = 13.65> ttable = 1.67). So it can be concluded that the implementation of Problem Centered Learning model gives greater influence than the conventional learning on the learning outcomes of IPS fourth grade students SDN 16 Surau Gadang Sub Nanggalo Siteba Padang. Looking at the results of this study, therefore, it is expected in future researchers and teachers who teach to be able to use and float Problem Centered Learning model in order to achieve optimal learning outcomes.
