Abstrak

ABSTRAK

This research is based on the low learning outcomes of students on science subjects in grade IV SD N 03 Binuang Kampung Dalam Padang. This is due to the learning process that takes place is dominated by the teacher with conventional lectures and the absence of a teacher using a model that is more varied, students who do not pay attention to the teacher seriously, learning only one direction and low centered learning outcomes. This study aimed to determine the effect of the use of the learning model Reciprocal Teaching on learning science in the fourth grade N 03 Binuang village in Padang. The research method used is experiment. Population in this research is all student / student of class IV counted 58 people, sample selection technique using Total Sampling. The experimental class is class IV A while control class IV B. In this research, the instrument used is the test of learning result and observation sheet. Data analysis was performed with normality, homogeneity, and hypetosis test with SPSS version 17.00 software. Results of research students who use Reciprocal Teaching learning model has an average of 82.00 and completeness of students using conventional teaching has an average of 75.89, and the hypothesis test result of 0.03 <0.05. Then it can be described that (1) The result of the experimental class study is more positive than the control class. (2) There is an increase in student learning outcomes in experimental class using Reciprocal Teaching learning model with students on grade control using conventional learning
